Knowledge Base: Introducing the Ucommerce CRM Area

We’re excited to announce a new addition to the Ucommerce platform: a CRM system! With the release of Ucommerce 10.9.0, you’ll find a brand-new CRM application in the backoffice, available in the left-side navigation menu. This feature empowers you to manage your customer relationships more effectively, offering tools to organize customer information, orders, and groups. Here’s a quick overview of what the CRM area offers.

Customers

The Customers section allows you to manage all your individual customer details. By default, this includes basic information like name, email, and phone number. However, since the system is definition-driven, you can easily extend it to include any additional details specific to your business needs.
In addition to customer profiles, this page provides a list of all orders placed by each customer. You can quickly access any order directly from this view, making it easy to keep track of customer activity.

Customer Groups

The Customer Group feature lets you organize customers into meaningful groups. For example, you could create membership tiers or segment customers based on shared characteristics. Customers can belong to multiple groups, allowing for flexible organization.
From the group view, you can easily navigate to individual customer profiles within the group. Like the customer details, customer groups are also definition-driven, so you can customize the information fields to suit your needs.

Organizations

Organizations provide another way to group customers, but with a key difference: each customer can only belong to one organization. Organizations are designed to reflect real-world entities, such as companies or institutions, and include more detailed information than customer groups.
As with other areas of the CRM, organizations are fully customizable via definitions, enabling you to tailor them to your requirements.

The CRM area enhances your ability to manage customer relationships and maintain an organized view of your customers and their orders. Beyond these foundational features, we’ve integrated this new functionality with the Promotions and Price Groups sections of Ucommerce.
With the latest update, you can now use criteria based on customer groups or organizations to define eligibility for discounts and pricing. This allows for highly targeted promotions and pricing strategies, ensuring that the right offers reach the right customers.
