A campaign is a collection of promotions that help manage discounts and offers. These can be created, deleted, prioritized, and controlled directly from the promotions app.
You can use it for campaign statuses, management, promotion prioritization and multilingual Marketing Support.

The different campaign statuses
A campaign can have four statuses:
Active – Currently running.
Paused – Temporarily disabled, even if dates are set.
Upcoming – Scheduled to start at a future date.
Ended – No longer active and has expired.
How do I manage a campaign?
In the campaign settings, you can:
- Set which stores the campaign runs in.
- Define start and end dates.
- Manually pause a campaign.
- Add, edit, and prioritize promotions.
What is a promotion within the campaign?
A promotion is an individual discount offer within a campaign. It includes criteria that customers must meet to receive the discount. Promotions can be published (active) or saved as drafts.
How do I control whether promotions can be combined?
By enabling “Allow following promotions to be combined with this one,” you let customers apply multiple discounts. This ensures the marketing service continues evaluating promotions sequentially.
What are criteria in a promotion?
Criteria define the conditions customers must meet to activate a promotion.
- Category-based – Discount applies when purchasing from a selected category.
- Product-based – Discount applies to specific products.
- Catalog-based – Discount applies to products in a selected catalog.
- Promo code – Customers enter a discount code to receive the promotion.
- Price group – Applies to specific price groups.
- Spend threshold – Customers must spend a minimum amount.
- Minimum quantity – Customers must buy a certain number of items.
- Shipping method – Discount applies based on selected shipping options.
- Dynamic order property – Custom rules based on order properties.
Prioritizing promotions
Prioritization affects which promotions apply first. Use these guidelines:
Highest priority – Always available promotions that can be combined (e.g., free shipping over a certain amount).
Medium priority – Discounts that don’t allow combinations except with high-priority promotions (e.g., 20% off outlet items).
Lowest priority – Promotions that apply when no higher-priority discounts qualify (e.g., a free tie with a specific shirt).
Multilingual promotions
Ucommerce promotions use definitions, allowing you to add multilingual properties. This means you can run the same campaign across multiple languages without configuring it separately for each country.
This ability to maintain consistent discounts across regions in global campaigns creates a seamless shopping experience for customers.
