uCommerce Software License

Each license purchased enables uCommerce to be installed into a single IIS site.

The license covers the software required to run uCommerce in a single web site only. No source code is licensed as part of the standard software license.  Opting out of the license agreement will not cause uCommerce to stop functioning, however the functionalities in the Pro or Enterprise edition will cease to be accesible, and the site will continue as a Free edition.

uCommerce assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may result from the use of the software.

Software Assurance

Software assurance covers access to all new minor and major releases of uCommerce while the yearly license is maintained. Opting out of the license agreement will not cause uCommerce to stop functioning, but product support and software assurance is forfeit. Minor point releases within the licensed major version will remain available free of charge.

Product Support

Product support included with the license comes in the form of direct e-mail support via the uCommerce Support System and comes with an SLA of 48 hrs. during work days and ensures that support staff will start resolving the ticket within this timeframe.

As the nature of support incidents wary no guarantees are giving for a timeframe for resolving the issue.

Support incidents caused by bugs in the product will get a fix included with the next scheduled point release or appropriate following release based on the product roadmap. Product support does not cover "by design" features, i.e. a feature works a certain way not applicable to a particular solution.

Product support does not cover resolving issues with custom code, architectural guidance, nor overall systems design. These services are available on an "a la carte" basis as a solution service add-on. Should a product support incident be unrelated to the product itself, e.g. rooted in custom code, architectural design, etc., solution service rates are charged on an hourly rate for the entire support incident.
