The digital agency created a digital empowerment tool in the form of a progressive web app, designed to alleviate some of the daily pain points experienced by serving personnel. > “We undertook an extensive piece of discovery work and spoke to serving personnel to really understand the challenges that they were experiencing and then we solved these challenges using digital" > India Hicks > Marketing Manager at Great State With the need for flexibility and scalability, Great State chose to partner up with Ucommerce to integrate the e-commerce platform with the [Umbraco](https://umbraco.com/)-built app. Not only did the web app solve a lot of problems for the Royal Navy, but the innovative approach also secured them a Gold BIMA award for Best Digital Transformation.
