Maternity Cover for VP of Sales

Maternity Cover for VP of Sales

- With high probability of permanent contract

Our VP of Sales is taking maternity leave from around mid-May and the following 12 months.

We are looking for a self-driven, result-oriented, and experienced sales manager to take the overall responsibility of global sales at Ucommerce while she is away.

After the maternity cover, we can guarantee a permanent contract for a position at sales- or country manager level with a probability of 90%. Ucommerce is growing rapidly and we are looking at taking on one to three new high focus markets within the next 12-16 months.

The job

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Overall responsibility for new sales on all markets - direct and through partners (most sales are through partners)
  • Heading a small and self-driving team of our UK/Ireland Country Manager and Head of Partnerships
  • Hands-on market responsibility for Denmark and Sweden
  • Implementing our new partner model (to be launched around March or April)
  • Sales forecasting and follow up
  • Part of the management team
  • Participating in tech festivals and conferences around the world organized by our agency- and technology partners
  • Expect 40-50 days of traveling/year

Our dream candidate would look something like this:

  • Result-oriented - you love beating your own numbers and would rather kick yourself in the face than not meeting the target
  • Self-driven - you are energetic, proactive, and confident
  • At least three years of experience from tech sales
  • Previous experience at the level of sales manager, partner manager, or large account manager
  • Preferably experience within ecommerce or content management space
  • You are a really nice person that can be both ambitious and pleasant to be around at the same time.

About Ucommerce

Ucommerce is a small-sized software company with a considerable impact. We have been around for ten years. We work globally through more than 200 partners, and we have more than 3000 implementations of our ecommerce platform globally. We deliver ecommerce capabilities to brands like Heinz, Southampton FC, Triumph Motorcycles, Lakrids by Bülow, Emirates, Rosendahl Design group, I Amsterdam, and many more.

We want Ucommerce to be a fantastic place to work which is why our culture is extremely important to us. To skip the usual HR yada yada these are the essential cultural cornerstones:

  • Freedom with responsibility: We are firm believers of an extremely high degree of freedom. We are all grown-ups, and we are perfectly capable of deciding when we need to go to the dentist, when we need to pick up kids early, or when we need to work from home. The only rule is: Plan with your team.

  • Work-life balance is a real thing here: We work hard, but we also need to have a balance in life. You get points for delivering value - not for staying in the office around the clock. Go home, have a life, and come back and kick ass tomorrow.

  • Respect for everybody: Everybody does their best - everybody brings value to the team. That is why they are here. It does not matter if you are an intern or CEO; your voice will be heard. And btw, we have a strict no-asshole policy.

Place of work is at our HQ in Aarhus C, Denmark.

Start: At the latest May 1st, 2020, but if you are available earlier, let us discuss options.
