We’ve been preparing you for this moment for quite some time now. We’ve been promising you the launch to happen. It’s time that promise became reality. Ucommerce is now compatible with Umbraco 8!
When Umbraco launched version 8 back in February, our dev team immediately started working on integrating our product with it. The new Umbraco brought a fresh look and feel, creating a clear contrast between what is and what used to be. With such an apparent switch, it was obvious that the bar was raised higher than before. We knew we had to live up to the expectations of both Umbraco and our customers and integrate Ucommerce not only as fast as possible, but also in a way that will seamlessly fit into the new Umbraco. But we also knew that with hard work, we would be able to achieve that goal. That’s why we got to work right away.
During the past 3 months we used our best efforts to make sure that our product matches the new Umbraco look perfectly, and that it works flawlessly with it. Because of the history we have with the CMS, working on the integration was overall a pleasant challenge – after all, Ucommerce and Umbraco have been inseparable for almost a decade. Collaborating for such a long time gave us a thorough understanding of how Umbraco operates and how to integrate it seamlessly with Ucommerce in a way that our mutual customers receive the best user experience. Thanks to that, we had more time to look closer into all the details and meticulously check if every little thing works and looks as it should.
Today is the day we present the results to the whole world. We want to share our newly-integrated product with our community and see you create new projects in it with ease. We hope you’ll find Ucommerce on Umbraco 8 the best version so far, and that working with Content and Commerce Connected becomes as effortless and pleasurable as ever.
